Christine Doran
Founder & Board President
At the heart of HHH Ranch lies Christine, a dedicated champion for both individuals and animals alike. She founded the ranch with the vision of ensuring that everyone, irrespective of their abilities, has the opportunity to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of horse riding and animal interactions.
Christine takes a hands-on approach, personally training the horses and striving to provide the ranch's services at no cost to those who require them. Her overarching mission is to dismantle the social divides that exist between people with disabilities and those without, empowering individuals and equipping them with the resources they need to thrive in their communities.
Missy Martin
Director
Missy Martin is the Executive Director of Disability Resource Center in Joliet, IL where they empower people with disabilities to live self-sufficient lives. Her resume includes over 25 years of administration, communications, and program experience in the nonprofit sector.
She also serves as a board member of several local nonprofit organizations, including Illinois Network for Centers of Independent Living, Catholic Charities Head Start Program, Will County Center for Community Concerns, the United Way of Will County Agencies United Executive Board.
Her passion for animals and her career go hand in hand at this organization that also knocks down barriers for people with disabilities. Missy lives in Manhattan, IL with her husband and hopes to do more traveling. They have 4 grown children and 6 grandchildren .
Mike Turner
Director
Mike Turner joined our board in 2023, but has been a friend of the Ranch for many years. An intellectual property attorney for a downtown Chicago law firm, Mike has long been an advocate for the disabled community.
He volunteers legal services for Equip for Equality, which serves as the federally mandated Protection & Advocacy System for the State of Illinois. He has also written a book directed at helping parents of children with special needs (Raising Special Children – A Guide to the Road Less Traveled), available on Amazon.
Mike has served on several boards, including that of Lincoln Way Area Special Education (LWASE) District 843, where his daughter Maya attended school for many years. Maya and Bumble (one of the Ranch’s first animals) met over a decade ago, and it was love at first sight!
Sarah Stapp
Treasurer
Sarah Stapp brings a wealth of experience in financial services and construction industries, having worked in these fields for more than 15 years. She has earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Management from both University of Illinois and Western Governors University.
Along with her husband Brian, she runs Terra Nova Farm which is now home to two horses adopted from HHH Ranch - Grace, a Clydesdale, and Frankie, a Quarter Horse. Sarah and Brian are also the proud parents of two children.
Mark Mahoney
Board Member
Mark Mahoney brings a strong background in strategy, operations, leadership, and media to the Board of HHH Ranch. He serves as Chief Strategic Officer for a national media company, where he builds and expands both media and non media assets, develops long term structure for the business, and manages a staff of more than thirty employees. His earlier experience includes serving as Senior Marketing Manager at IG Group, leading national campaigns for the United States launch of IG FX, and working as Marketing Manager at Nadex, where he guided brand strategy, creative development, and communications for a regulated financial exchange. Mark also founded his own company, gaining experience in business development, team leadership, and creative direction. He has served on boards within the media space, offering guidance on growth, mission, and organizational design.
Alongside his professional work, Mark carries a deep calling to support adolescents who are navigating trauma, crisis, and special needs challenges. His lifelong passion for rehabilitating animals, especially horses, aligns with the heart of HHH Ranch. He believes God often brings healing through His creation and that the bond between rescued animals and hurting youth reflects the ministry of Jesus, who lifts up the brokenhearted and brings restoration where there has been pain.
Mark’s commitment to HHH Ranch flows from his faith and his desire to see every child discover safety, purpose, and the renewing love of Christ. He is dedicated to helping build programs that offer emotional and spiritual restoration through compassion, community, and the healing presence of God’s creation.
Lisa Chagoya
Board Member
Lisa Chagoya brings a unique blend of real estate expertise, educational leadership, and hands-on farm experience to the HHH Ranch Board. With multiple degrees in education and over a decade spent teaching in Chicago Public Schools, Lisa has a deep passion for helping others learn and grow. Now part of the homeschooling community, she continues to pour her heart into creating meaningful learning opportunities for children and families.
Lisa first connected with HHH Ranch in 2020 and has been an active supporter ever since. She and her family share their life with a variety of farm animals, and she has personally adopted two horses from HHH Ranch—further deepening her commitment to animal welfare and rescue work.
Her background in both education and horsemanship allows her to thoughtfully support the Ranch’s mission of providing equine-assisted learning and healing. Lisa is proud to serve on the board and champion the life-changing work happening at HHH Ranch.
Sadie West
Board Member
Sadie West is the owner of PoshWest Boutique in Manhattan and Shorewood, a devoted autism mama, and a passionate supporter of HHH Ranch’s mission. As a small business owner and active community member, Sadie brings creativity, dedication, and heart to everything she does.
She discovered HHH Ranch while looking for meaningful programs for her son, and what started as a search quickly became a lasting connection. Inspired by the Ranch’s impact, Sadie and her son began volunteering together, deepening their bond with the animals, programs, and community.
Sadie has also adopted a horse from HHH Ranch. Her personal experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering commitment to families make her a dynamic and valued member of the Board.
Kelly Rodgers
Board Member
Kelly Rodgers was raised in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania and earned her degree in Business Administration from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, she began her career in corporate human services in New York City with a division of RR Donnelley, later transferring to the company’s corporate offices in Chicago.
Over the years, Kelly has built an impressive career in human resources, safety, and manufacturing. She currently serves as the HR Manager for Pactiv Evergreen, a leading manufacturer and distributor of food packaging and food service products.
Beyond her professional work, Kelly is a proud supporter of SSHS and a dedicated advocate for autism awareness. She is also a proud mom to her daughter, Katie, and enjoys spending time at HHH Ranch.
